Mardi Gras Eats in Mobile

With Mardi Gras underway in my hometown of Mobile, I thought I’d showcase a few awesome spots along the Port City. There’s no way you can come to Mobile without eating some fresh gulf seafood. The Half Shell Oyster House is must go to for oysters on the half shell.

They also will have a filet mignon, crab cake topped with a crab sauce & a red fish on special during the month of February. Don’t worry if you miss it, they keep all those items on the menu. Just ask the chef to combine if for you!

With Breakfast being the most important meal of the day, you must stop in at Spot of Tea for breakfast, lunch or brunch while in downtown Mobile. Caution, you need to get there early or make a reservation because it gets packed quickly. Customers love their seafood items like Eggs Cathedral and Banana Foster’s French Toast. But if you eat too much, you can ride a segway from Spot of Tea Segways Tours and Rental and tour the City of Mobile! I hope you noticed how adventurous I really am!

Finally everyone loves moonpies!!! Mobile, AL is proud to be the first city in the state to have the Moon Pie General Store. You can get moonpies every day of the year, plus other nostalgic paraphernalia. But most importantly, they make food made with moon pies such as a moon pie burger, fried moon pie and a moon pie shake!

Enjoy Spring Break and Celebrate Mobile!!!!
