Rolled Ice Cream, Wine & Lunch

I scream, you scream, we all scream for Lucky Cat Rolled Ice Cream!!! Rolled ice cream is the newest trend in Birmingham where ice cream is made to order in rolls with different flavors. Lucky Cat is located in downtown Homewood is a great sweet treat and late night stop for an adult beverage with their variety of sake & beer.

After watching the staff make some ice cream rolls, I thought it was an easy task until I tried it and felt the burn in my arms. Now I see why mama used to use the crank or the electric version!

Nothing like some local wine to quench your thirst and one of my stops on the Eat.Drink.Ride Food Tour is at Corbin Farms Winery. We get to taste up to 7 of their wines plus snack on one of their delicious fruit and cheese trays. Corbin Farms also has an array of flatbread you can snack on. Not only is the wine delicious, but the venue is a beautiful location for a wedding or intimate event.

Finally, what is better than a meat and 3, but a meat and 5! Little Savannah Restaurant now serves Friday lunch which consist of a choice of 1 of 2 entrees and 4 to 5 veggies. Of course, I love all the food by Chef Clif Holt, but my plate was piled with kale and mustard greens, a homemade refreshing tomato and cucumber salad drizzled in an olive oil dressing, fried okra & fried corn.

If you can make Friday lunch, you can always catch Sunday brunch which is from 11-2. That's typically a choice of approximately 5 made to order entrees such as the classic eggs Benedict to avocado toast which pairs well with mimosas!
