Christmas Food Ideas...

Looking for somewhere to dine for a holiday party or some good food to get you through through the holiday shopping, then this week's show is for you! The best spot away from the Galleria Mall is some local seafood from from Mikey's Grill in Hoover. They specialize in fresh seafood such as crabmeat, gumbo this redfish Oscar.

Most of the receipes have been passed down from the owner's mom or he's put his spin on it.The food is divine, I really hope to be at the next family reunion. Mikey's Grill in Hoover off Valleydale Road is a great place to have your next corporate party or date night.

Tacos are technically a horizontal U, but tostados are flat tacos with the same great ingredients! A new spot in Homewood is making some of my favorite things on a tostado, hence the name Tostada's! When I can get some Nashville Hot Chicken on one, that makes my day. The margaritas are far from watered down, in fact some days I wish I had the party bus to take me away! Check them out in Soho in the former Jackson's location.

Finally, Post Office Pies is more than pizza, they also have healthy items to ease the guilt such as their seasonal salad that topped with candied pecans, apples and a vinaigrette & a Tiramisu that's always on the menu. Now if you are a true meatarian like myself you will absolutely love their Swine Pie that full of sausage and bacon! They're located in Avondale in a former postal building! #Yummy
