New Year's Seafood, Hotdogs & Pumpkin

I learned many people like to end the New Year with seafood! What pairs better with fresh seafood than BIG portions? That’s exactly what you get when you dine in at Big Man’s in Harpersville, Alabama.

BigMan’s is known for his burgers, steaks and seafood platters including alligator. In fact, he has the best tasting gator I’ve ever had. You can get it grilled or fried, but either way it will want you coming back for more. Big Man’s can even cater your next breakfast or other event and have your tailgate meal ready before kickoff!

Now who would think a hotdog joint would have some awesome burgers? Tony’s Hotdog’s in Pelham burgers are so big that I can NOT finish one, but those slaw dogs…I must order them 2 at a time. The combination of the sweet from the slaw along with the salt in the sauce is on point every single time. Beware, there is always a line at Tony’s but don’t leave because it goes pretty quickly, but I can guarantee it’s worth the 5 minutes of a cooked to order meal.

Finally, it’s that time of year for pumpkin carving. For those of you who’s looking for some tips on making a non-traditional pumpkin, I had to reach out to my friend at the The Bitter Socialite for some tips.
